Disney Springs: Chicken Guy

Chicken Guy is a great place to eat gluten friendly at Disney Springs!  For gluten-friendly, they offer a grilled chicken sandwich on a gluten-free bun and fries.  Their sauce menu details which sauces contain gluten, which is super helpful for ordering.  The chicken and fries are prepared in a separate area and fryer.  I have also observed things like glove changes, allergy indicators, separating the allergy-friendly item from the rest of the order, and clarification questions.  I feel safe eating there, but with most gluten-full restaurants, there is always a risk of potential cross-contact, even with their amazing and careful procedures.   I usually order the Big Bite B.L.A.T. which has bacon, lettuce, avocado crema, tomatoes, and ranch (pictured above).  The bun is a solid gluten-free bun and the flavors blend well together!  My dad, who regularly eats gluten, claims this to be one of the best gluten-free sandwiches out there and I agree with him!

 Nomad's Lounge: Animal Kingdom

Nomad's Lounge has a TON of gluten free options! Nomad's Lounge is a must-try on your gluten free Disney adventures! The menu is seasonal, so it is constantly changing. The flavors, the textures, and presentation has been phenomenal for everything I have ordered. The number one reason for going to Nomad's Lounge for my gluten free peeps is the AMAZING gluten free churros. If you don't have enough time to sit down and enjoy your meal, then be sure to grab the churros to go! They are just as good when dining in and the dips are still included. These sauces also change seasonally, but I have seen vanilla, guava, and chocolate as sauce offerings in the past. If you do have time to dine in, I recommend grabbing one of their many creative and fun drinks (after double checking with the server that it's gluten free) and trying literally any of their gluten free dishes. I definitely recommend anything that comes with their yuca fries. Pictured above are the gf churros, gf tuna poke bowl (without the glaze), and octopus ceviche. I have also tried the gf pineapple-glazed pork belly, gf Tiffins bread service, and gf cuban frita sliders. As with most restaurants on Disney property, it is a shared kitchen so always take caution and ask questions for your own safety. But they do have a dedicated fryer, which is always a plus! I have never personally had a reaction after eating here, but ultimately it is what you personally feel safe with. I always make sure to emphasize that I have a gluten/wheat allergy, just to be sure that they are taking the gluten free request seriously and are handling it as they would any allergy. I hope you decide to try Nomad's Lounge because it truly is a wonderful gluten friendly option in Animal Kingdom!
